Having played a lot of what is currently the ceiling most ships are pretty okay to good, many suffer from a lot of completely useless passives (but none asmuch as the gunship does), in general i feel combat needs a lot of work. This is a ship that needs a complete overhaul of it's passives, otherwise it would be my favorite (you can get a pretty decent uptime on the turret) this gotta be the ship with 100% terrible passives the drone damage is okay, the turret mods are pointless, the mine-targeting is pointless (or just plain bad), the reduced cost on repair (what?), the boost speed? why? just why? I would love to use the gunship in higher rifts, and you can, but there ain't a singel passive worth it. On paper the vindicator but even with perfect 4 passives i feel like the drones fall off completely in higher rifts (probably a scaling issue) Otherwise i'm definitly a bomber user, but those top tier rifts, etc. Only top tier ship i managed to get above and beyond (1k?) in lunacy was the stinger (i think.names), the ship with the "reg shield on device usage" passive, mixed with the reduced cds on devices (with the right setup you can get infinite shields) Over 100k hull-hp (not max-level yet), high firepower, structure, resistance and expertise. Reduced device cds on being hit, 30% dmg reflected on being hit, near endless secondary energy Powerful-corrosion-mines for close range aoe and a sea of hurt.Ĥ support devices (teleport, selfheal through damage, 2 giving energy back on shielding or counter-measures). Don't wanna hurt yourself or allies and get those pesky drones asap. Marksman-scorpion-missiles for close to long range precision. Marksman-cruise-missiles for long distance, aoe and big targets. The heavier the battle the shorter device cds are, the more energy I have, the more I can sling back and so on. Weak enemies just kill themself by shooting me. Enormous amount of effective hp and selfhealing. ![]() Since I am a lazy bastard, that works for me.īomber aka "The Juggernaut" (always on highest possible difficulty)Ĭan just sit long range or in the middle of space and take it on the chin or zap around the battlefield and get in enemies faces. The Vindicator is lazy mode and works just as well. You can make other ships work for intense areas, but you have to constantly teleport, use weapon energy consumables, and generally put a lot of effort in. ![]() ![]() They can take down small groups fast, but high level swarms murder them rapidly. The same goes for the Sentinel and Gunship. The interceptor is great for taking down a few targets rapidly and it's a joy to fly, but it's definitely not what you want in the harder HR areas. No other ship I've tried has had the same level overpowering success as Vindicator with flak. Disposable drones to effectively reduce your damage to 1/5 of what it would normally be is overpowered enough. The damage output is unimportant as is the Vindicator's Ult. You lob flak at clusters of enemies to pop all the drones, then you take on the rest with 5 to 6 drones taking fire for you. The Vindicator with drones and a flak cannon is really all that's needed for that vast majority of situations. This game is designed in such a way that dogfights on-level or over-leved enemies is not efficient. I've used several types in HR areas to see what worked for me. This thing feels so powerful that i worry posting it here will lead to it getting nerfed. In the rare instance you do get surrounded, use the teleporter with the reverse-facing perk to get out of harm's way and melt most of the opposition before they get a chance to turn around. Absolutely melts everything with primary weapon fire, any enemy smaller than a carrier/destroyer dies in a half second or less. ![]() Very slow, but great shield and hull to compensate. Gunship - Double the hardpoints so double damage (and energy cost). Interceptor - Heavy fighter with bonuses to weapon energy cost, and the ult gives a burst of crazy fire rate, damage, and infinite energy, and it charges fast.ġ. Stinger - Great bonuses to warfare devices and an insanely powerful ult, but if your ult and devices are on cooldown you are made of paper.Ģ. Striker - nice bonuses when engaging multiple enemies, but a little on the fragile side.ģ. Sentinel - decent enough, good all-rounder and the ult can get you out of a jam.Ĥ.
